Located at 540 Madison Avenue, the new Grand Seiko Flagship Boutique is the brand’s largest global location, designed to reflect the precision and craftsmanship at the heart of its identity. As the steel subcontractor on this high-profile interior renovation, our scope included the fabrication and installation of a custom steel staircase that serves as a central architectural feature and connects the two-level space.
The staircase required a high level of coordination and precision engineering to achieve both structural performance and architectural elegance. During the project, unforeseen site conditions prevented anchoring to the building’s foundation wall as originally planned. Our team worked closely with the project’s engineers and designers to develop an alternative support system that met all safety, load, and design requirements without compromising the visual intent. Each steel component was fabricated to tight tolerances and installed with exacting care to ensure seamless integration with surrounding finishes and materials.
The result is a sculptural, fully customized stair system that reflects Grand Seiko’s attention to detail-delivered on time and built to perform.
